Help Close the Racial Wealth Gap

My students and I had the opportunity to watch Redlined, A Legacy of Housing Discrimination, and to dialogue about structural racism and redlining in California with Ron Chavez. This important conversation contributed to amplifying the knowledge and critical thinking of my students. I truly believe this information should be included in the curriculum to improve the discussion on inequities, but also as a political tool to denounce, and to find -collectively- solutions to guarantee equal human rights in California, and all over the U.S.

Thank you so much for putting together such an informative and timely presentation on housing policy. I’m not sure if you saw the Zoom chat, but the attendees enjoyed the documentary and hearing about the work you do and how the policies of the past still affect us to this day. I especially appreciate you taking the time to define terms that might have been unfamiliar to the attendees.
